Welcome to our regular roundup of events and activities in and around AMTSO.
Meetings and Events
We have issued an updated agenda for our upcoming Dublin meeting, with some more topics and speakers added including a legal update from our regular guest speaker Terry Budd. Further and final updates are expected in the next couple of weeks, registration for the event remains open but members planning to attend are urged to sign up as soon as possible, and any non-members interested in joining us should also get in touch ASAP. Final plans for the event are being made, including for the traditional member dinner on the first evening. AMTSO will also be present at the annual VB conference later the same week, so anyone who cannot attend our meeting can catch up with us at our booth.
XDR Working Group
A call for the XDR team was held this week, keeping track of progress gathering intel on the make-up of various XDR solutions; as reported in our polling of CISOs and other purchasers, this area can be difficult to gather information on, and our project team has encountered similar issues but continues to work to unveil the mysteries of these widely-promoted solutions. We will continue to find out what is out there and will provide a detailed update during the Dublin meeting.
Sandbox Evaluation Working Group
Commentary on our Sandbox paper remains open, but with limited change proposals to date we firmly expect to finalize the paper during discussions in Dublin and to launch the formal process of member voting to approve shortly afterwards.
VPN Working Group
The VPN team met this week to review the large volume of comments and suggestions received on the first draft of the paper, our team leads from Nord Security have been working hard to address these and reserved the most thorny for team debate. With many issues now resolved we are working towards a new working draft to share with members in Dublin.
RTTL Working Group
The RTTL team met last week, the system continues to expand and improve with a round of clean-up of user accounts carried out after the latest meeting. There will be a detailed update on status and progress of the system, and the parallel ThreatList system, during the upcoming member meetings.
